I am looking forward to attending the OCTM (Oklahoma Council of Teachers of Mathematics) Conference this summer where I will be making a presentation on the effects of learning in an environment that nurtures individual learning styles. I am looking forward to sharing my research with my colleagues. I also appreciate all the wonderful ideas I bring back after talking to my fellow math teacher friends. If your child has me next fall, have them be prepared to try out the new ideas I learn. The OCTM gives me a fabulous platform to network with and learn from some of the best math teachers in the state.
I also have been involved at Northeastern State University this semester helping them plan and prepare for the Centennial Celebration. What a great day in the history of NSU. It is likely to be a day never to forget. Please join us in our festivities on March 5.
